You may see Evernorth on your paperwork. That is the same company’s behavioral health arm.
Two names, one company
Evernorth is the health services arm, and behavioral health generally runs through it. So your explanation of benefits, the directory you search, and the phone line you reach may all carry a name that is not the one printed on your card.
People sometimes assume this means a billing error or that they have been handed off to a third party. It is neither. It is the same organisation under a different brand.
What this plan usually is
In Wisconsin these are overwhelmingly employer plans, and the mental health benefit is defined by the employer’s group. That is why a general answer about what this insurer covers is close to useless, and a five minute call about your specific plan is not.
If an online directory does not list me
Provider directories are updated on a lag and are wrong more often than anyone likes to admit. A search that comes back empty is weak evidence, not a verdict, and it is one of the more common reasons people give up before they have really checked.
A person on the phone can confirm in under a minute what a directory search cannot. If you are told I am not in network, ask them to check by name and licence number rather than relying on the search tool, and let me know so I can chase it from my side.

- Is my behavioral health benefit handled by Evernorth, and which number should I call?
- What is my cost for outpatient psychotherapy with a Licensed Professional Counselor?
- Does my deductible apply to mental health visits?
- Is telehealth covered at the same rate as in-person?

How to check your own benefit
I can tell you I am in network. Only your plan can tell you what that means for your wallet, because the answer is set by your specific coverage rather than by the insurer as a whole.

Look at the back of your card
The member services number is there. If there is a separate behavioral health or mental health line, use that one instead.

Ask about your benefit
If the paperwork says Evernorth rather than the name on your card, nothing has gone wrong. That is the behavioral health side of the same company.

Write down what they tell you
Ask for a reference number for the call.
I’m licensed in Wisconsin only, so you need to be physically located in Wisconsin at the time of your session, whatever plan you carry.
